About SmokyVows

Why I built this

On the big directories, the vendors a couple sees first are the ones who spent the most that month. Then the vendor pays again for every inquiry, whether or not that couple was ever a fit. You buy attention, and then you buy it a second time.

That is backwards. A couple should be able to find the vendor they actually want, and a vendor should not have to outspend anyone to be findable.

So position here comes from how couples rate you, and nothing else. Your pricing shows on your listing before anyone reaches out. And when someone messages you, that message goes to you alone. It is never resold.

Who I built it for

The photographer working alone. The venue that is somebody’s family land. The DJ who has been doing this for twenty years and never needed a marketing budget until the internet decided he did.

And the couple who just wants to know what something costs before they spend an evening sending messages to find out.

If you are planning a wedding

Browsing is free. Saving vendors is free. Messaging a vendor is free, and it stays free. Every listing shows a starting price, because you should know whether a conversation is worth having before you spend an evening sending messages. If you want more, there is a wedding planner and an assistant you can add. Finding a vendor never costs you anything.

What it costs

One flat membership. You pick the one you want, and it changes what tools you get, never where you appear. The price is the same whether you booked two weddings last year or fifty. I never take a cut of what you book, and nobody can buy their way past you, including me.

Where it works

The Smoky Mountains, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Asheville and Nashville, with more coming as it grows.

Who's behind it

One person, for now. I read every message and every suggestion myself, and I am the one who decides what gets built next. If there is something this site should do for you, tell me. I cannot make it better without hearing from the people using it.
